We are attempting potty training today. My suspicion is Jordan is not yet ready, but two of her friends at daycare are starting. We'll keep you posted; should be an interesting weekend!

Big Girl Bed - Thanks Grandpa Dave!
We changed out Jordan's crib to her toddler bed. Grandpa Dave made this for her and it still has the parts for a full bed in a year or so! She was a little uncertain at first, well when her bed was in pieces; but when she climbed in and started reading books I think she realized she had something special. We haven't had any trouble with her leaving during naps or at night. From day one Miss Jordan has been such a great sleeper.
We want to wish Grandpa Dave and Grandma Anne a very happy anniversary on November 18th!!!! We miss them very much.

Halloween 2008
We decided to get in the spirit a little this year. Mom made a St. Bernard puppy costume for Jordan and we went trick or treating for an hour or so. She was a little afraid when men came to the door, but very excited with the ladies. Next year I'll take the afternoon off of work because most everything happens in the afternoon and I imagine she will be more excited! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I'm very thankful for all my mom's help through the years!
Salt Lake Trip
We took a weekend and went to Salt Lake to see friends. Allison and Seavey are expecting a little girl in December. We went to Britney Austin's wedding reception and Brian was able to see a lot of friends from the guy and South Jordan. On our last night Carolyn had dinner (amazing yummy dinner) for us and the Harprings. We got to meet little (or should I say big Katie), but Luke had a sick belly and the night went very fast. Overall the trip was fast but so much fun!

California October 2008
We took a wonderful week long trip to California. The first part was spent in the Bay area with lots of good friends. Brian was able to go to a Raiders game with Rob, while I stayed home with the kids and enjoyed his little boy Thomas. We say Libby and Chris's new home in Point Richmond and cought up with old friends. We then went to Monterrey for my medical conference and enjoyed the beach, the aquarium, and our very nice hotel room. It was a very nice family vacation and a break we all needed.

Labor Day Weekend!

We went East for the weekend; well as far as Columbus and Grandma & Grandpa's. Jordan stayed with her grandparents (2 weeks in a row, yeh!) while brian and I and the dogs headed to the Beartooth Wilderness. We hiked to Mystic Lake on the north side of the Wilderness. I had been wanting to do that hike since Brian, my father, Bard and I hiked Goose Lake back in 1998. It was such a hot day, we saw a moose, and some crazy scenery. Then the next day was 40 degrees and raining; we returned home today to snow on the ground. Well, I guess that means good bye to summer and get ready for a long winter!

The Tantrums Have Begun!
Denver Trip

Brian and I had our first trip together away from Jordan. We went to Denver with Chad and Heather Rempfer. Lots of fun: waterslide, baseball game, great food, and the highlight "The Police" concert at red rocks.
Jordan went to stay with Anne and Dave in Lusk. She had lots of fun with her grandma and grandpa; and was very well behaved! Or so they say!

4th of July 2008
We had a nice family reunion in Butte with about 80 people. I however forgot my camera at all the celebrations. I have a few photos of Jordan and Brian from July 3rd before the big fireworks show! Jordan was up till midnight and loved every minute. Lots of oohs and ahhs!
There is also a video of Jordan and her puppy Bacchus (who is now 9 months old). Puppies once again her favorite things in the world! Arf Arf!
Hope everyone had a nice Independence Day! WE usually don't get real excited cause our animals go ccrazy and it is hard to leave them alone.

Summer Solstice
We went to Salt Lake City for the Summer solstice. Our friends Bill and Casey were married; my friend Allison is getting married so I hosted a bridal shower; and we stayed with our good friends Carolyn and Tom and Ziggy! I posted this great picture with Ziggy; because she adores puppies!!! And the other photo is her enjoying some ice cream! This was mine and Jordan's first trip back to SLC since moving and it was really nice. She is an amazing traveler.
Warm Summer Day 2008
My first blog. I'm really disappointed in myself for not keeping my friends and family connected to our lives. It has been a couple of rough years. I hope this is the beginning of something different. Jordan has changed my life!!! We gardened today; and times like this just make me think of all the things she will learn and all we will teach her. She called her daddy monkey today! She is becoming so talkative and says puppy, momma, daddy, papa, puppy, ducky, outside, shoes, socks, puppy, nose, eyes, hair, toes, puppy and so much more.....
